A new study by Common Sense Media has been published today and it offers some surprising information about where and how much media teens are consuming. It turns out that despite the proliferation of mobile devices, teens still love television, whether it’s real-time programing, online video or delayed-time viewing. In the study that included 2,658 teens, 58% said they watch television every day (compared to 45% who said they used social media every day).
And while that might be surprising, we found this even more jaw-dropping: The total number of hours teens spend daily on all forms of media combined? Nine. (That’s probably more waking hours spent on screens versus off.)
